Accord Awards

Baroness (Kishwer) Falkner

Lib Dem Baroness Falkner will be amongst this year's judging panel for the Accord awards.

Accord, the umbrella group campaigning on faith schools, has launched an award aimed at state schools.

The prestigious new prize will recognise the achievements of primary and secondary schools that celebrate diversity of religious and non-religious beliefs. The awards are to recognise work in schools and the wider community that goes well beyond simply the legal requirements on inclusion and equality.

The judging panel includes Baroness (Kishwer) Falkner, Liberal Democrat Spokesman on the Ministry of Justice in the Lords and expert on human rights and multiculturalism.
